NASA may be on the verge of making an announcement related to life on other planets, revealing a new discovery next week.
The space agency is ready to reveal its latest great discovery after scanning many planets outside our solar system. The discovery could be announced by the Kepler space telescope team, which has been looking for habitable worlds outside of the Solar System since 2009.
The Kepler telescope looks for planets the size of Earth in the “habitable zones” of nearby stars, and has already found thousands of planets that could harbor life.(Extraterrestrial Revelation)
The news about the big announcement from NASA is becoming more frequent, and according to the Daily Star newspaper , it would have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14th.
“The discovery was made by researchers using machine learning algorithms,” NASA officials wrote in a press release.
“Machine learning is an approach to artificial intelligence and demonstrates new ways of analyzing Kepler telescope data.”
Kepler manages to discover many planets by noticing the tiny diminutions of brightness that they cause when they cross in front of their host star, from the perspective of the spacecraft.(Extraterrestrial Revelation)
More than 2,500 confirmed extraterrestrial worlds have been found, about 70% of all known exoplanets.
The vast majority of these discoveries occurred through Kepler’s observations during his original mission, which took place between 2009 and 2013.(Extraterrestrial Revelation)
Now he is on a second mission, called K2, during which he is looking for exoplanets in a more limited way and making a series of other observations.
Last year, NASA announced the incredible discovery of nine planets in orbit around the star TRAPPIST-1. It was believed that three of the planets were in the habitable zone of the star and were capable of housing life.(Extraterrestrial Revelation)
A spokesman for NASA said: “Kepler’s latest planetary candidate catalog was created using the most sophisticated analyzes to date, offering the most complete and reliable accounting of distant worlds to date. This survey will allow new lines of research in the study of exoplanets, which analyzes the worlds outside our solar system ».
We will be waiting for the confirmation of this new announcement, although from our experience, we will be very patient for this type of event. What do you think?(Extraterrestrial Revelation)
