Lowe, 53, said he was filming his new documentary series “The Lowe Files” for the US television network A & E when he had a meeting with a creature called “Wood Ape” that left him on the floor Thinking that he was going to die.
“I’m fully aware that I look like a crazy lunatic Hollywood right now ,” Lowe said of the meeting in an interview for Entertainment Weekly magazine .
“Wood Ape is the local term for a Sasquatch or a Bigfoot,” continued Lowe. “This is what I like about our show. We had fun with all this. We do it from the point of view of a true believer and skeptic in a fun way. People talk about Wood Ape in all seriousness. But apparently things got complicated when Wood Ape went looking for them.
“We were 100 miles from the nearest city , “ Lowe recalled. “We spent 45 minutes on the most rugged, brutal mountain trails. It was during the morning.
